The primary gateway is Sorong’s Domine Eduard Osok Airport (SOQ). International travellers fly into a major hub such as Jakarta (CGK) or Bali (DPS), then take a domestic flight to Sorong. On arrival, our team arranges seamless transfers from the airport to your phinisi, typically moored in Sorong harbour. Embarkation and disembarkation are almost always in Sorong.

The official currency is the Indonesian Rupiah (IDR). Your charter fee is typically paid in a major currency before the voyage, but incidental expenses onboard and ashore are primarily in IDR. ATMs are extremely scarce in Raja Ampat, so withdraw sufficient cash in Sorong before embarking. Some premium vessels accept major credit cards for larger incidentals, but cash remains king locally.
